BBQ your Skin...

Tanning is really tough.. it always appear to be so relaxing in those western countries where you see babes and hunks lying on the bench, glowing! But in a tropical country like Singapore, it will more be like melting on the bench... sweating profusely while managing that amount of heat! Nobody ever says that beautiful is painless!
I went for a tan last weekend and indeed, after battling under the sun for a whole good 3 hours (kids don't try this at home), I managed to achieve that red lobster look with a hint of bronze beneath! However, no matter how much i tan, this red-bronze colour will still fade off after a week.
Living in this place we call earth for a good 30 years, there are lots of distraction and one can easily lose themselves. Although one can say that it is good to evolved themselves to suite the environment, but there should be certain core values in place. It is true that after a while, all the changes do not necessary make you a better person. I came to this society with a mind set of finding true love. But after knocking myself again and again on the hard concrete wall of betrayal, I started to become more cynical and eventually, became a player myself. But one fine day, my big brother, Lawrence, came to me and said, "No matter what is it, never lose yourself and have faith... the first time i saw you, you are this nice innocent boy, don't lose it!" It woke me up and I will always find my own "Centre of Gravity" and never deviate from it. Just like you, big brother;)

In conclusion, just like tanning, you can get red or brown or even black. But no matter how you change, you will have to return to your original tone. Always remember, if the colour never revert back to its tone, it is never a good thing, it might be a sign for skin problem. Big brother Lew, don't worry, I will not lose myself and always believe in love. Thanks for being there for me all these while!
